In 2015, I started working with Southern Comforts social media team.
The brand was well-established but they had a limited budget. So we made the best of it.
We started by defining our themes for the month. There were some we always used, but we would spice it up with quirky holidays or humorous categories. Our goal was seven or eight good posts a month, spread across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr.
After writing, we would scrounge for props, build our sets and shoot everything ourselves, around our office or any place in town that would let us shoot for free. I would shoot, art direct and edit the images or videos.
